Webinar #1: Key Lighting + HVACD Decisions in New Build Planning

InSpire is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with our friends at Fluence by OSRAM (Fluence) to create a new two-part webinar series for cannabis cultivators and cultivation facility designers.

The webinar series will provide cultivators and designers with the foundation to make important decisions surrounding lighting and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and dehumidification (HVACD) equipment. The series will be broken into two parts focused on new construction and retrofitting an existing building. Lighting and HVACD equipment are likely to be two of your largest expenses in a cultivation facility, so getting the design right the first time around is paramount to success and profitability. Whether building new or retrofitting an existing facility, fostering collaboration between your lighting design and HVACD teams will ensure an operation is optimized from the outset, enabling growers to quickly start cultivating and churning revenue.

The first webinar in the series will prepare registrants to make smart decisions in the planning stage to make the most of new build opportunities. Topics discussed will include:

  • Reviewing the science of plant biology and its interaction with light and temperature/humidity
  • Recommended steps when building a team and key metrics every decision maker should know when choosing equipment
  • Avoiding costly mistakes
  • The impact of lighting decisions on HVACD planning and long-term operating expenses
  • Evaluating return on investment

Part One will be hosted by Robbie Batts, InSpire’s Chief Technology Officer, and Aaron Fellabaum, Fluence’s Director of Strategic Accounts for Cannabis and Lighting Design Manager for Fluence in North America. Both Robbie and Aaron have decades of experience in their fields and look forward to collaborating with growers to optimize their facilities.

While InSpire specializes in HVACD solutions for indoor horticulture, the team at Fluence creates optimized LED lighting solutions for commercial crop production. Fluence is a leading LED lighting supplier and is committed to enabling more efficient crop production.
