Our CEO Adrian Giovenco will be presenting at the NCIA Cannabis Business Cyber Summit next week. Adrian is a member of the NCIA Facilities Design Committee (FDC), along with Brian Anderson of Anderson Porter Design, Corinne Wilder of Fluence by OSRAM, and Peter Dougherty of Orion Partners. The FDC works to support the collective knowledge of energy policy, building science and engineering in the cannabis industry.
“Facility Design: Guidelines & Policy for Resource Efficiency; HVAC, Lighting and Control” will take place on Thursday, November 12 at 9:30 a.m. PST during the event. During this session, the FDC will explore findings, information and real-world case studies to illustrate operational, technical and regulatory challenges commonly faced during the facility design process. The committee has several peer-reviewed papers and best practice guides that will be referenced and available as resources for attendees. The Facility Design session is part of the “Cultivation, Processing and Retail” track of the conference.
The Cannabis Business Summit is an annual event hosted by the National Cannabis Industry Association, and while this will be the event’s seventh year, it will be the first year the event is hosted virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. Attendees will still have the opportunity to network with peers, learn from industry experts and advance their professional development in the cannabis industry.

Our team has spent nearly a decade learning everything we can about why growers with massive amounts of expensive heating, ventilation, air conditioning and dehumidification equipment were still struggling to maintain precise environmental control. High rates of energy use, pest and pathogen contamination and limited production are still endemic in this growing industry – reach out to us today if to learn how InSpire can help add value to your project.
