InSpire is honored to be participating in the 2021 ASHRAE Virtual Annual Conference happening later this month. ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, is an organization dedicated to advancing the science of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve the industry and promote sustainability. Typically an in-person event, this year’s Annual Conference will be held online in a virtual format with a mixture of live and on-demand technical and interactive sessions. The conference will take place Monday June 28 through Wednesday June 30.
Our CEO Adrian Giovenco is part of an on-demand seminar that will discuss HVACD systems for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). “Demystifying Controlled Environments for Agriculture” is part of the HVAC&R for Indoor Plants & Animals track and will explore the unique requirements associated with HVACD systems in CEA facilities. Understanding the impact of room temperature and humidity on plant health and vitality is extremely important for engineers and contractors in the cannabis space. Adrian will specifically speak about purpose-built HVACD systems for CEA, and his fellow panelists include Nadia Sabeh of Dr. Greenhouse, Brian Anderson of Anderson Porter Design and James Megerson of Design Mechanical Inc.
InSpire’s Cannabis Business Specialist Jesse Porter will also be presenting in a seminar on Monday June 28 at 7:00 p.m. ET. “Plant and Animal Environments: What Makes Them So Unique?” is also part of the HVAC&R for Indoor Plants & Animals track and will cover the various considerations for designing and operating HVACD systems for vertical farms, primary enclosures and animal shelters. Jesse’s fellow panelists will again include Nadia Sabeh of Dr. Greenhouse, Morgan Hayes of University of Kentucky and Niss Feiner of Delta-T Designs.
The HVAC&R for Indoor Plants & Animals track will address unique considerations for HVAC&R systems designed for controlled environments that host plants and animals. Attendees can expect to learn about the challenges and opportunities associated with energy and water utilization for indoor growing spaces, including standards and regulations that guide the design of plant and animal habitats.
